Grizzlies Swept by Spurs, Lose 93-86

There are a lot of things I could say about how the Grizzlies lost this game, but honestly, I don’t really think that it’s that important to do so. The season is over. The Grizz lost this for the same reason that they lost the series: the Spurs were better. The Spurs found ways to exploit the Grizzlies’ defense, and they continued to shut down the Grizzlies’ offense. The Grizzlies were great today and over the whole season, the best team in Memphis’ history, but the Spurs were better. It happens.

It’s nothing to take lightly. Memphis is a great team in a small market that found a way to convincingly get to the Western Conference Finals purely off of smarts and defense. They have years of youth with which to build an offense and get better.

This year was the best in the franchise history, but they will get better, and they will get better soon. We believe it.

Grind on, everyone. We know the Grizzlies will be next season.

In the meantime, we’ll be coming at you in the offseason with free agency updates and news.
