Seth Curry, has been waived by the Memphis Grizzlies according to the team’s official Twitter account. Curry had just made his first ever NBA debut with the Grizzlies against the Detroit Pistons.
Naturally, the debut was followed by being waived off the team. It was an intense ride, for four minutes Seth Curry was on top the world. Stephen Curry, Seth’s brother, was nowhere to be seen to steal the spotlight. There he was, ready to make the biggest impact any player has ever made in four minutes.
The stakes couldn’t be any higher. A twenty-three year old, his whole life ahead of him. In four minutes, it was all over. Not a single stat was recorded. The Grizzlies couldn’t help but scrutinize those four minutes beyond repair. Oh the humanity!
But wait.. It appears there’s hope after all! Mark Stein, of ESPN reports this might have been a crafty business move.
Strong chance, I’m told, that Grizz will try to re-sign Seth Curry to 10-day deal if he clears waivers. 10-day deals in NBA start Monday

Could it be true? Is the former Duke hero about to embark on a quiet ten-day journey back into our humble Grizzly hearts? Does this mean redemption for Curry? A chance to move past his NBDL Santa Cruz Warriors beginnings into something more?
In twelve NBDL games this season, Curry recorded 21.3 points, 7.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per game. Sure, Curry’s turned the ball here and there but no more than Karl Malone in a Finals game. Grizzly nation shall wait and see if Curry can turn his 3.7 turnover average into 3.7 minutes of gameplay. That is where we learn what truly makes or breaks a player, a man. The first four minutes.
