The Memphis Grizzlies (33-25) head in to the Nation’s Capital Monday Night as they face off against the Washington Wizards (31-28). The Grizzlies defeated the Wizards 92-89 back on February 11th in Memphis despite Bradley Beal scoring 37 for Washington.

Memphis is coming off a 110-96 win over the Cavaliers on Saturday night where they allowed a season high 65 points in the 1st half and had a quick turnaround limiting Cleveland to only 31 in the 2nd half.  Zach Randolph had 23 pts points for the Grizzlies as they returned to 8 games above .500 for the 3rd time this season.

Behind Randolph’s monster 2nd half against the Cavaliers, Marc Gasol and Mike Conley combined for another 44 points for the Grizzlies.  Memphis comes in to the game having won 7 of their last 10 games, but have lost their last two on the road.  The Grizzlies currently sit 1.5 games out of the 8th spot behind Phoenix and Dallas.

The Wizards are on a roll having won six in a row. They haven’t won seven straight games since the day’s of Gilbert Arenas and Larry Hughes back in 2005. At 31-28, The Wizards are currently 5th in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The Grizzlies have won 4 of the last 5 meetings between the teams, but haven’t won in Washington since a 99-94 victory on Feb. 24, 2010.
