The Memphis Grizzlies (40-28) square off against the Eastern Conference leading Indiana Pacers (51-18) Saturday Night at FedEx Forum. The Grizzlies are coming off of a gut wrenching 91-86 loss to Miami on Friday Night which saw them blow a 7 point lead with three minutes to go, while the Pacers are coming off a dominating 91-79 win over the Chicago Bulls.
Up 84-77 with 3:05 to go in the game, it looked as if Memphis was going to get a statement win over the NBA Champion Miami Heat at The American Airlines Arena. The Heat then used an 11-0 run to take the lead for good, capped off by a Ray Allen three and dunk.
There was a series of unfortunate events (no pun intended) that took place for the Grizzlies. Center Marc Gasol sprained his ankle mid way thru the 3rd quarter and never returned to the game. The Grizzlies announced after the game that Gasol was day to day. He’s considered a game time decision against the Pacers. His absence could be quite costly because Phoenix sits just .5 games back of the Grizzlies for the 8th spot in the West.
Update: @marcgasol had ankle re-taped but he will not return to tonight's game.

Zach Randolph had a monster game for the Grizzlies against Miami. He scored 25 points (12-20 fg), pulled down 14 boards and dished out a healthy four assists for a big man. Randolph will need to be at his best again tonight against Indiana if Gasol can’t play.
Indiana bullied the Bulls on route to a 91-79 win on Friday night. Indiana Forward Luis Scola helped cap off a 19-0 run in the 3rd quarter. He led all Indiana scorers with 19 points (9-12 fg).
This is the final meeting between the Pacers and the Grizzlies this season. The Pacers won the previous matchup 95-79 on November 11th.
