The Grizzlies are coming off a disheartening loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday where they fell 112-92. The Spurs shot 55.8% from the floor, and Kawhi Leonard scored 26 points on 13 shots. Memphis was outscored 26-12 in the 1st quarter and never got back within more than 6 when they trailed 42-36. Manu Ginobli hit a 3 pointer and the Spurs lead shot back to double digits seconds later.
The Grizzlies are sitting one game back of the 8th spot in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns will meet next week in which looks like a pivotal game to decide the last spot in the West.
The Heat are coming off a 102-91 win at home Sunday against the New York Knicks. Lebron James scored 38 points in the victory as they held off a barrage of 3’s from Knicks Shooting Guard J.R. Smith.
Memphis has five games remaining in the season. Their upcoming schedule includes a home game against Philadelphia, then on the road against the Lakers and Suns and rounding out the season at home against the Dallas Mavericks on April 16th.
