The Memphis Grizzlies are 30-12 on the season, and sit one game ahead of Houston and Dallas for first place in the Southwest Division. There’s no doubt about it that the NBA’s Southwest Division is the best in basketball.

Every team in the division is above .500, with the worst record coming from New Orleans at 22-21.  Memphis has had its struggles against the division this year, but so has every other team.  Dallas and New Orleans are the only teams with records above .500 against division opponents.

Four of the five teams in the division would make the playoffs if they started today. All four teams would matchup with each other in the first round. Memphis currently sits in the 2nd spot in the west, Houston and Dallas are the 4 & 5 seeds in the west, and San Antonio sits in the 7th spot in the conference.

We’re going to break down each team in the NBA’s Southwest Division, and give our final predictions for each team in the standings.
