The Memphis Grizzlies will play the Los Angeles Clippers in Memphis this evening–the second time the two teams have met this week.

In tonight’s game No. 56 of 82, the Grizzlies will be seeing one of their biggest rivals–the Los Angeles Clippers. A familiar pairing becomes even more familiar this evening considering the two teams just played on Monday night–yes, against each other.

Although the Clippers will be without Blake Griffin yet again, the Los Angeles is sure to be more focused than usual. They have a revenge victory in mind.

The Grizzlies will be fully prepared, though. Memphis lost to the Sacramento Kings following the Grizzlies/Clippers matchup in what was a heated contest.

Memphis’ Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol both need to notch double-doubles. They must both keep the Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan off of the glass because he gets all of his points of lobs, putbacks, and dunks.

Mike Conley must force turnovers while containing CP3. After Conley ripped the ball away from Paul in the final seconds of Monday’s game, which led to the Grizzlies’ victory, that series of events most likely will not be allowed a second time considering CP3’s elite status.

The winner may even be decided on which team’s bench produces the most. Koufos, Udrih, and other will have to make shots for the Grizz to win.

The Grizz are sour after losing to the Kings and they, much like the Clippers, have some added motivation for tonight’s game, which tips at 7:00 P.M. in Memphis, Tennessee.

Below, Beale Street Bears has the information you want to know before the game tips in the Grindhouse.

Injury Report

The Memphis Grizzlies report only Vince Carter–out with a left soot strain.

The Los Angeles Clippers list Blake Griffin–out due to the surgery in which he had to remove a staph infection.

Personal Prediction

Although the Grizzlies won by just three points in a thrilling game against the Clippers on Monday, Chris Paul likely will not fold as he did earlier this week. The Memphis Grizzlies will have to come fully prepared to compete for 48 minutes in another classic grit-‘n’-grind matchup. Even without Blake Griffin, L.A. is a strong competitor. I predict the Grizz to have another close battle, but with them winning by a margin of six points on their home floor.

Go Grizz!
