The Memphis Grizzlies were firing on all cylinders on Wednesday night as they once held a 40-point lead and went on to be victorious by a score of 110-74.

74. 69. Final. 110. 211

Memphis needs to gain as much momentum and togetherness as they possibly can to fulfill their title hopes. With a few games remaining in the regular season for them, they are doing just that. Last night was a great step forward for this team as they prove to be as big of a contending team as anyone else in the NBA.

The first quarter featured a close game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the New Orleans Pelicans. But, wow, did that change shortly after the first 12 minutes of play.

Yesterday evening, the Grizzlies were able to play all 13 of their available players. All 13 of them scored. The Memphis Grizzlies showed how solid of a team they are across the board by sharing the ball, recording 27 assists on 45 made baskets–yet no Memphis player scored over 15 points individually. Team basketball will lead this squad to being very successful when the NBA Playoffs arrive.

The Memphis Grizzlies’ Zach Randolph flirted with a triple-double early, as he had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists by halftime. Halftime. Most everything was going right for the Grizz while Anthony Davis and the Pelicans could never get any rhythm, any momentum, in the ballgame.

At one point in the fourth quarter, the Memphis Grizzlies notched a 40-point lead over the Pelicans. Yes, a 40-point lead! The Grizz team from the start of the season that could not lose a game just may be back in time for the postseason. Let’s hope so, Grizz Nation!

All of this was done by Memphis while being without their star defenseman, Tony Allen, whom may not play again until the start of the NBA Playoffs due to a recent hamstring injury.

At the end of the game, a special moment occurred. Z-Bo and Big Spain met with a lady from Memphis that has never missed a Memphis Grizzlies’ game. She is assumed to be moving from the city, thus she will not be able to be a season ticket holder in the future. She has one more home game (against the Indiana Pacers next week) to attend. It is great to see just how classy the Memphis Grizzlies’ franchise is on a regular basis and how friendly, off the court, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol are to fans.

Video of the postgame moment can be watched in this clip:

The Memphis Grizzlies are back in the Western Conference’s second seed. They can win their first divisional title if they hold onto the second spot, but there is only a 0.5-game difference between No. 2 and No. 6 in the West. Can Memphis hold on?
