The Memphis Grizzlies released their 2015 NBA Preseason schedule today, which features one very special game for point guard Mike Conley.
The Memphis Grizzlies announced their full 2015 NBA Preseason schedule today, which is a significant step toward the release of the regular season schedule.
Seven games will be played by the Grizz in their preseason stretch. Not only are these some great matchups on their calendar, but an M-Town visit by international flavor and a special out-of-town trip have been planned. Four of the meetings will feature home advantage for the Grizzlies, while three of their battles will be on the road.
On October 8th, Maccabi Haifa (Israel) will come to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. While the Grizz should win big, the young guys can take on some new talent and gain some valuable experience prior to the regular season. Experience will be key for the Grizzlies’ sophomore players (Russ Smith, Jordan Adams, and Jarnell Stokes) in order to make a much-needed impact.

The October 12th game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers will be played at a university special to the Grizzlies’ Mike Conley—THE Ohio State University-where the point guard spent his sole collegiate year. Conley spends some time in Columbus, Ohio–the location of OSU–in the offseason and there will surely be a large, supportive crowd for “Clutch Conley” when he takes their floor once again when fall of 2015 arrives.
Aside from these two games in particular, the Memphis Grizzlies will be facing some stiff competition in preseason play.
The Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Atlanta Hawks all made the postseason in 2014-15. To be more exact, they all qualified for the Conference Finals in their respective conferences. Additionally, Oklahoma City–one of Memphis’ greatest foes–should find elitism once more.
