Marc Gasol made his third All-Star appearance. KD and Russ actually passed the ball to each other, and the hometown star Anthony Davis dropped 52 points.

Gasol doing work

First, let’s talk about Marc Gasol. As soon as Marc Gasol checked in the All-Star game he was making noise. He checked in and drained his first basket of the game.

To even make it more interesting, Gasol decided to dunk in the All-Star game. We rarely see that in actual games.

To cap off the night, he nearly finished with a triple-double with an outstanding stat line of 10 points, eight assists, and 10 rebounds.

Maybe Gasol could’ve been up there in that MVP mix talk for the game if he had two more assists. Clearly, Anthony Davis was the star of the night, but you gotta respect a near triple double performance.

Anyway you put it, it’s fair to say Big Spain did some work in the Big Easy.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook

Going into the All-Star game, the big question was: Are Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook going to share the floor together again?

All weekend the two kept avoiding each other and avoiding questions regarding one another.

Then the game came, and something spectacular happened..

KEVIN DURANT ASSISTED ON RUSSELL WESTBROOK ON AN ALLEY OPP.

Since that happened, I guess Kyrie Irving is right. The world is flat which means the two are going to work things out. And this definitely means they are going join back together in Oklahoma City.

Just kidding, that’s not gonna happen.

The earth is not flat either. Kyrie, you tripping.

What’s funny is they were still avoiding each other during the celebration on the sidelines. Ah, got to love the Durant and Westrbook drama.

Anthony Davis = MVP

Davis had himself a night. He dropped 52 points going for 26 of his 39 shots breaking all-time great Wilt Chamberlain’s record of 42 points in the all-star game.

He also added 10 rebounds and two steals to his stat line.

Davis put on an absolute show despite lack of defense – unless you are Kawhi Leonard.

He led the West to a victory over the East 192-182 and took home the MVP award.
