The past two weeks have not been ideal for the Memphis Grizzlies. Well this week, the Grizz remembered who they are thanks to Mike Conley and Marc Gasol.

The past two weeks have been a dark time for the Memphis Grizzlies. However, Mike Conley and Marc Gasol have rallied the troop to weather their storm.

Between lineup changes, a five-game losing skid, and losing Chandler Parsons, this team has basically seen it all the past two weeks. And after losing at home to the Brooklyn Nets, it sure as hell looked like this team wouldn’t pick up another win this season.

Well this week, the Grizzlies have flipped the switch.

Monday night, the Grizzlies broke their five-game skid against the Milwaukee Bucks, and last night they were looking to build off Monday night’s win.

That’s exactly what they did, picking up a 98-91 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Welcome to the Clinic!

Mike Conley and Marc Gasol put on a clinic last night in Chicago. In the first half, Gasol looked still lifeless while Conley ended the half with 14 points, six points and four assists.

I guess Mike had to give Marc give CPR at half-time.

And obviously, it worked. In the second half, Gasol showed signs of life again!

Late in the fourth quarter, the dynamic duo decided to perform surgery on the Chicago Bull’s defense. What goes in the clinic, stays in the clinic. Never break that rule. Never.

The two combined for 54 points end the game. When your superstars play at superstar level, you usually win. Great logic, right?

Anyway, you may be wondering “Surgery, what are you talking about?”

Well, let’s get into it.

First things first: The main incision by Dr. Conley.

You are right Amara, we’re definitely not worthy.

Oh, and Jimmy Butler, where were you going?

Ah, then Dr. Gasol just slit right through the Bulls’ hearts with this three-pointer to put the game out of reach.

It may take Chicago a while to stitch this one up.

Defense.. and More Defense

By no means are the Bulls known for their offense, but for the second straight game the Grizzlies held their opponent under 95 points.

With the way the Grizzlies defense looked before this week, this is by far a positive.

With the loss of Chandler Parsons, the squad needs to push for playing the best defense in the league if they are going to make a run in the playoffs.
