Even though he was once considered the Memphis Grizzlies’ “midseason trade acquisition,” Toney Douglas has been replaced with young 2-guard Wayne Selden.
After the trade deadline, the Memphis Grizzlies seemed satisfied with their roster. Toney Douglas filled in admirably behind Conley. Brandan Wright and Chandler Parsons were getting healthier. Then, two of the three went wrong. After losing his spot to Andrew Harrison, the Grizzlies released Toney Douglas for shooting guard Wayne Selden.
