March has been a rough month for the Grizzlies. They’ve experienced two significant losing streaks: one of five games and one of four.

The Memphis Grizzlies have struggled this month. Thank God it’s almost over, right?

There’s been inconsistency on both ends of the court. Two of their best players – Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph – have performed at season-low levels. If it weren’t for Mike Conley’s valiant efforts, they probably would’ve gone winless this month.

But hey, it’s all good.

They have seven games left this season, five on their home-court. If they can capitalize on a favorable schedule, they could potentially climb up the Western Conference rankings.

Parker Fleming, Dee Davis and Jake Finnen dive in and share their thoughts on the worst loss for the Grizzlies this month.

Parker Fleming (@PAKA_FLOCKA): 03/11/2017 – Hawks 107, Grizzlies 90.

Honestly, a lot of losses could be used here. The Grizzlies could lose 10 games this month, something that’s been completely uncharacteristic the past half-decade. There were plenty of tough losses, but their loss against the Hawks could’ve been the hardest smack.

The whole game overall was flat. Mike Coney scored 16 points but only hit one of his seven 3-pointers. Marc Gasol didn’t even crack double-digits in the points column. The Grizzlies also shot 5-for-29 (17.5 percent) from downtown, while the Hawks drained 15 triples.

The Grizzlies’ defense also made the Hawks look like the San Antonio Spurs. Atlanta had Memphis looking like a pretzel with their exquisite ball movement. And, ANOTHER role player went off as Taurean Prince notched a career-high 17 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the field.

You know it’s a tough loss when fans are booing, and an intoxicated fan is screaming “Bring Back Lionel!”

Dee Davis (@dontsleepondee): 03/06/2017 – Nets 122, Grizzlies 109

As a playoff team, there’s no way that they should lose to the team with the worst record in the league. The Grizzlies were consistently beat off the dribble all night long. This game was the start of Coach Fizdale’s line-up shuffle, which failed until he went back to the original lineup. The team as a whole lacked energy and effort, especially on defense. Guys were constantly out of position, and the Nets simply wanted it more.

Jake Finnen (@HalfCourtJester): 03/22/2017 Pelicans 95, Grizzlies 82

A few months ago, the Grizzlies lost to the Bulls on a last-second shot, steal combo from Jimmy Butler. He also single-handedly defeated Memphis on a step back jumper against none-other than Mr. “1st Team” himself, Tony Allen.

The best defensive player got beat at the one thing he prides himself on. You see where I’m going with this. Same situation, but it was DeMarcus Cousins killing Marc Gasol.
