Some players have game on the court, while some are just as good on the keyboard. What were some of the best tweets this season from your Memphis Grizzlies?

“NBA Twitter” is one of the most powerful forces on the internet. It’s led to many emoji-filled spectacles (see: DeAndre Jordan Free Agency Frenzy or this year’s Trade Deadline), Woj bombs and endless petty drama. This year, the players of the Memphis Grizzlies brought us many memorable moments on the web.

They’ve brought us many periscopes, rock-and-roll references, potatoes, Cancun trips and game-day vibes.

Let’s go through some of the best tweets this season from your Memphis Grizzlies.

Notes to the Game

The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t been shy of addressing the elements of the game. Both Marc Gasol and Chandler Parsons had words to say to the basketball and the hoop:

The FedEx Forum listened to Marc Gasol’s request. For Parsons, it’s a process.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

One of the greatest gems of NBA Twitter was the mysterious potato gifts. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol were blessed with the almighty potato:

I don’t know who started this trend, but – step aside, Russell Westbrook or James Harden – they’re the real MVP.

Marc Gasol: Twitter All-Star

Marc Gasol is an absolute beast on the court. His post turnarounds are marvelous. He can drop dimes on the court. His 3-point celebrations belong in museums. The most underrated aspect of his game: his tweeting.

Marc Gasol is low-key one of the best tweeters in the game. His Twitter is about as versatile as his game.

To start off the season, he commemorated Johnny Cash after this air guitar 3-point celebration:

Do you that’s the roll rock-and-roll reference he used? Think again.

Marc Gasol recently thanked the fans for their support with a line from Memphis’ king:

In addition to his rock-and-roll culture, he also knows his UFC today. After his glorious strut, Gasol tossed a shoutout to “The Notorious” Conor McGregor:

One of the best elements to his Twitter game is his use of memes. The key to a good Twitter is “dank memes.” Marc Gasol has some of the best in the game:

Marc Gasol does show a serious side. In efforts of his career year, he was selected to the All-Star team. Many didn’t know how he would perform after breaking his foot last year. This year, Gasol proved that a major foot injury isn’t a death sentence to all big men:

Finally, Gasol posts a tweet for his “Bruise Brother,” Zach Randolph. After missing seven games for the death of his mother, Randolph was embraced by his teammates. It showed that no team in the NBA has a greater bond than the Memphis Grizzlies and that basketball is nothing more than a game:

Chandler Parsons: Twitter Extraordinare

Chandler Parsons wasn’t able to find a rhythm this year, but man his social media is something to marvel at. He’s already famous for his Instagram by hanging out with Kate Beckinsale, taking a school bus to a private jet to fly to Cancun, trolling his teammates and shooting his shot on Instagram live.

His Twitter is just as good. Parsons loves to interact with his fans – and haters – through Twitter Q&A’s. Through this, we’ve been blessed with many great gems.

He’s confirmed that Joel Embiid is a virgin, a running joke with the two of them. As people bash him for his contract, he reminds them that he signed for four years. Through the hate, Parsons right back at them. He has shared his struggles on bouncing back from his knee troubles. He even wished for healthy knees for Christmas.

Parsons’ most infamous Twitter beef of the season was with CJ McCollum and the Portland Trailblazers. The tweets were deleted, but Portland trolled Parsons for air-balling a 3-pointer. Chandler told them to have fun in the lottery, then McCollum told him that they “hit the lottery” by not signing him. It was the most classic moment of NBA Twitter of the season.

TA with the Periscopes

Tony Allen has gone to Periscope to provide the fans with answers to their questions. It’s become one of the highlights of Memphis Grizzlies Twitter:

No matter where you go, keep doing you, TA.

The Classic

The greatest tweet of Grizz history has to be whenever Mike Conley tweets this simple hashtag:

If you don’t follow any of these guys on Twitter, you’re making a big mistake. If you aren’t following us on Twitter, that’s a bigger mistake. Follow us @BealeStBearsFS.
