You saw it coming, and as much as I would have loved to put Memphis first, it just wouldn’t have been realistic.  Fresh off of a title, the Spurs play the best team basketball in the NBA, and they also just so happen to have the best coach as well.  Tim Duncan is ageless, Manu Ginobili still makes it happen, and Tony Parker is one of the most underrated point guards in the league.  Kawhi Leonard is poised to break out into a star and they have very solid role players all around.  It’s hard to say that the Spurs aren’t the favorites going into this season as well.

Even though the Spurs are great, age will eventually catch up with them.  Tim Duncan might seem immortal, but he will have to retire eventually (right?).  The Spurs aren’t invincible, but it’s going to take a very smart, well balanced team to take them out.
