4. Steve Francis

Francis was originally drafted by the Grizzlies in 1999, but he never played a game in Vancouver.  He had said that he didn’t want to play in Vancouver going into the draft, but the Grizzlies picked him regardless.  This led to him being traded to Houston, where he blossomed into an all-star.

Francis struggled with off the court issues as his career progressed, and it caught up with him after only spending nine years in the league.  The Grizzlies ultimately had the last laugh when it came to Francis, as they waived him after trading for him in 2009.
