Mike Conley did not play in the first meeting between the Grizzlies and Magic. How will Orlando need to adjust to attempt to contain Conley?

Brett David Roberts: Elfrid Payton is developing a reputation as a great defender, but odd as it seems, his defense has been inconsistent like his offense. He ignites breaks, gets runs going, and helps immensely by playing passing lanes. But his one-on-one defense has lacked at time. He put the clamps on Mike Conley last time, but Conley is one of the least appreciated 1-men in the NBA. He runs an offense well, and he does not have to have a huge night on the stat sheet for the Grizzlies to beat a team like Orlando.

Christian Dudley: With Conley being back, Payton will have to tighten up on defense because even though Beno Udrih is a solid player, he is no Mike Conley–especially with dictating the flow of the game. Payton has excellent defense and he is having himself an excellent rookie year, so it might be rather “How will Conley defend Payton?” because of Elfrid’s big game he had 10 days ago. This matchup could almost be as intriguing as the Gasol/Vucevic battle.
