No. 9: How large of a double-double streak can Z-Bo build?

Power forward Zach Randolph had a streak of one dozen double-doubles in the month of January–earning him the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Month award. It is almost a guarantee that Z-Bo will register at least 10 points and 10 rebounds on any given night against any opponent.

Will he continue his dominant streak over the course of the next 29 games? Most likely.

Regardless of the competitor, Z-Bo will grit and grind in the paint until he gets his way. It may take two or three attempts to make the basket, but Zach will ensure that he wins down low. It is what has made Randolph’s name known in households all across America–the toughness, the grit, and those double-doubles.

Randolph is averaging 16.8 PPG and 12.0 RPG on the season and has recorded a double double in 31 games, even after missing nine games due to a sore knee. There has only been 53 games played through All-Star break! This means Z-Bo achieves double-double status 70.455% of the time he steps on the court (this season).
