Key Game Notes

– The Memphis Grizzlies’ starting frontline provided 56 of the Grizzlies 86 points. Shooting 55.5 FG% and 88.8 FT% between the three of them. Marc Gasol was the Grizzlies’ top scorer with 21 points, Zach Randolph scored 20 points, and Tony Allen poured in 15. In comparison, the Golden State Warriors had four starters in double figures.

– The Warriors scored 46.4% of their three point attempts going 13-28. The Grizzlies went 3-12 for 25%. Only three Grizzlies (Lee, Udrih, Adams) managed to score a three point attempt and only a single one a piece. The Warriors had six players (Curry, Thompson, Green, Barnes, Iguodala, Barbosa) who scored a three pointer. Three of those players (Curry, Thompson, Green) made in multiple attempts.

– The Grizzlies last defeated the Warriors on December 16th, 2014 at home (105-98). Andrew Bogut did not play during this game and Tayshaun Prince was still part of the Grizzlies’ roster. Mike Conley had 17 points during that matchup.

– When it comes to turnovers, both teams had 15. Each roster also snagged 13 steals. The difference in assists ( Warriors Advantage – 26-24) and rebounds (Warriors Advantage – 39-37) was marginal. The Grizzlies also did most of their damage at the free throw line, going 17-22 (77.3%) to the Warriors’ 10-15 (66.7%). The Warriors are winning mostly via their three point shooting prowess combined with a high FG%. 50.6 FG% to the Grizzlies’ 45.2 FG%,

– Starting point guard Nick Calathes who is filling in for Mike Conley did not score a shot in this game. His opposing matchup Stephen Curry had 22 points. Backup Grizzlies’ point guard Beno Udrih had 7 points.

– The Memphis Grizzlies scored 312 points through the first three games of the playoffs. They averaged 104 points per game in what were all Grizzlies victories. These three starting games featured Mike Conley. Without Mike Conley, the Grizzlies have scored 277 points for an average of 92.3 points per game.
