The Memphis Grizzlies reached a 2-1 series lead over the Golden State Warriors following Sunday evening’s Game 3 victory in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Memphis Grizzlies took their home floor on Sunday night looking to take control of their semifinal series versus the Golden State Warriors. They had already gained a great amount of momentum as they stole homecourt advantage from Golden State in Game 2.
With a major opportunity on the line in Game 3, they took advantage in a major way. The guys in Grizz uniforms wanted the victory more than the Warriors. They fought harder. They played smart. Everyone was tough and show no signs of bluffing. The home crowd saw their favorite squad play together, as a complete team, in order to achieve a win–leading themselves to a 2-1 series lead over the NBA’s best regular season club.
Memphis’ Tony Allen was a tremendous factor on Sunday–just as he was in Game 2–with his tenacious defense. He was literally all over the floor causing mayhem while the Warriors attempted to find their offense. The Grindfather is making sure Golden State continues to have nightmares of his defensive work. Here are a few examples from Game 3:
Aside from intense defense, the Golden Warriors have been beyond scared straight and cannot even knock down more-open looks. Example? Stephen Curry and his air ball.
Also, if you remember the stir that TA caused amongst Warriors fans earlier in the series, then you will find this rather funny.
It is great to see the Grizzlies and Tony Allen poking harmless fun at a tough opponent. It was just another jab the Grizz deservingly needed to make, especially since they have completely turned around the series in their favor.

The Memphis Grizzlies remain undefeated in the 2015 NBA Playoffs when they have Mike Conley available in the lineup. Will this trend continue? It is showing no signs of changing anytime soon, Grizz Nation!
Mac-11 wowed fans with this nice move and ensuing deep trey ball last night–what a play!
Conley’s postgame interview sums up Game 3, especially since he has been a member of the Memphis Grizzlies since the summer of 2007.
