The Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green has made his arrogance known in his team’s semifinal series against the Memphis Grizzlies–which has led to a major response from the Grizz.

Golden State’s Draymond Green attempted to get under the skin of the Memphis Grizzlies early in the Western Conference Semifinals. In Game 1, in which the Warriors were victorious, Green nailed a three and then did this to the Grizzlies’ bench–displaying his arrogance. He was completely immature, unprofessional, and out of character for his actions.

In Game 2, in which Mike Conley made his return from injury, he struck a major nerve with Grizz Nation by colliding with Conley’s newly-fixed facial injury. Was it intentional? While some may have believed that it indeed was an intentional hit landed by Green, it does not look to be as such after viewing the replay (below).

To make matters even more “worse,” Draymond Green displayed more arrogance in a recent interview–televised nationally on TNT Overtime after the conclusion of Sunday evening’s playoff games. In the interview, Draymond Green answered a question regarding his shots that have not been falling through the hoop lately versus the Memphis Grizzlies.

His response?

“I will continue to get those shots with the way they’re defending,” said Green.

Oh really, Draymond?

Perhaps it is the insane defensive intensity that the Memphis Grizzlies have displayed to shock the sports world in the previous two semifinal games? Just maybe that is the reason why Green, Stephen Curry, Klay  Thompson, etc. have failed to reach 50% shooting from the field during that stretch? It might just be the reason as to why you, Draymond, shot a poor 1/8 from the field in Game 3.

It is fine to be arrogant, Draymond. Do as you wish. However, do not discredit the world class defensive effort the Memphis Grizzlies have been throwing upon the Golden State Warriors.

The entire Grizz team is stepping up on both ends of the floor and NBA fans from all over are finally starting to take notice. Memphis is looking like a true contending team and they get better by the playoff game.

Tonight is Game 4 between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors. How will Draymond Green perform and will he do something over the top, yet again, to cause a stir amongst the Grizz faithful?

From Green’s antics and arrogance, Memphis has taken it all and transformed it into fuel to their fire. They now lead the semifinal series two games to just one and have even stolen homecourt advantage from Golden State. If this trend continues, Beale Street may really be jumping in June!
