The Memphis Grizzlies’ Mike Conley has been battling many injuries over the course of the past couple of months and some of them he has not discussed until now.

Mike Conley has been an all-out warrior, even against Golden State, throughout the Memphis Grizzlies’ postseason. He has battled multiple ankle injuries–to both ankles, I might add–throughout the regular season. He, of course, dealt with the facial injury that he sustained in the Grizzlies’ first round matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

Additionally, once the Memphis Grizzlies’ season came to an end on Friday night, “Clutch Conley” described all of the injuries and soreness that he has been dealt with throughout the year to the Commercial Appeal’s Peter Edmiston.

WOW is all we can say, Grizz Nation. Mike has truly been battling through it all. Not all of those injuries were necessarily made known until now. He has been demonstrating true grit for the Grizzlies. What a competitor!

In addition to his list of injuries, he also had to quickly get into playing shape after missing some time following the facial injury. He went from laying in bed–unable to move around–due to the severity of his facial injury to wanting to be thrown back into the action playing his normal starter’s minutes and then some.

Conley has transformed into a true leader even though he was already an exceptional floor general. Saying that Mike has a passion for the game is probably not giving him all the credit he deserves. Regardless of the Memphis Grizzlies’ postseason outcome, MC is still a champ in Grizz Nation’s eyes.

Mike deserves SO much credit for the grit that he showed in the postseason. He could have easily sat out and seen his team fold almost instantly to the Golden State Warriors, but he would not allow that to happen. He did not want to see his team look pathetic. Instead, he fought through the pain and the competition. Conley, though vastly underrated, demanded the national media and all NBA fans to pay him and the Memphis Grizzlies some well-deserved attention.

Check out this video (below) from 120 Sports regarding Mike Conley and his rather lengthy list of injuries that have piled up this season.

Mike Conley, you have deserved a break and a lot of R & R. Take some time away from basketball now so you can come back for your best season yet. An NBA All-Star selection needs to be headed your way.

Go Grizz!
