After a productive and active offseason, how is the Memphis Grizzlies’ current depth chart looking?

The Memphis Grizzlies have taken care of business this summer by locking up Marc Gasol for the long-term as well as beefing up their bench.

The club is clearly engineered to be better next season than they were in 2014-15. With sneaky trades, promising NBA Draft selections, and other roster upgrades, the Grizz look to put up their best fight yet for an NBA Finals appearance.

Last season, a lack of chemistry amongst the bench could have been the main reason for Memphis’ downfall. That is, along with a plethora of injuries to the Grizzlies’ most important contributors.

Now begins another chance, another try for the Memphis Grizz. Perhaps this roster will have the opportunity to travel to a length further and greater than the franchise’s best year (2012-13) when the team qualified for the Western Conference Finals for the first time.

Currently, this is a model of the Grizzlies’ depth chart as they draw closer to the beginning of training camp, although moves and acquisitions may not quite be done for the summer in M-Town.

The Memphis Grizzlies have 16 players on their roster (currently) and 2015 second round selection Andrew Harrison has not signed any form of a contract with the team as of August 10th.

NBA teams can only have a maximum of 15 players on their roster after training camp/preseason and immediately prior before the start of the regular season, so they will need to make at least one cut. Will Harrison stay or will he go? What others may receive a release?

Additionally, is a player such as Greg Oden still in Memphis’ training camp plans? If so, more than one roster cut/release may need to happen by the end of preseason play. The Grizz certainly have some tough decisions to make over the next two months and change.
