So Hard to Say Goodbye: Three Favorite Memories from Courtney Lee’s Tenure as a Memphis Grizzly
2. Lee Makes Perfect Pass to Beat Phoenix at the Buzzer
A season removed from being the recipient of an inbounds alley-oop that gave us one the greatest buzzer-beaters in Grizzlies history (spoiler alert of #1 favorite memory), C-Lee threw a lob pass to set up Jeff Green’s game winning oop-slam at the buzzer. Standing on the sideline, Lee threw an inbounds pass to Jeff Green coming off a curl that was more perfectly placed and well executed than most of us will ever appreciate. After getting off to rocky start replete with blowout losses, the exciting victory was a great early season boost to help remind us how fun Grizzlies basketball can be.
Courtney Lee played well throughout this win over the Suns, recording 18 points, six assists, four rebounds in addition to tossing up that accurate pass for the game winner.
