4. Domantas Sabonis

Domantas Sabonis, son of Hall-of-Fame center Arvydas Sabonis, would be a great pick for the Memphis Grizzlies.

In fact, Draft Express and a recent FanSided mock draft have Sabonis picked here, because he “exemplifies the typical grit ‘n grind style that is regularly associated with the Memphis Grizzlies.”

While this is a match-made in heaven, with power forwards Jarrell Martin and JaMychal Green on the rise, is drafting Sabonis the best fit? Sabonis can’t shift over to play big minutes at center with a 6’10 1/2 wingspan.

His polish down low however makes him the best prospect among him, Jarrell Martin and JaMychal Green. Sabonis has more of a post game and can rebound, as proven through this season where he averaged nearly 12 rebounds a game.

Sabonis learning from Memphis Grizzlies bigs Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph will be very beneficial for his career. All three of them are post-oriented players that have high basketball IQs and a nose for rebounding the basketball.

If Sabonis can reach his ceiling, he will probably play like David Lee in his prime.
