The NBA schedule has recently been released. The Memphis Grizzlies should put on some great battles throughout the season. What games must fans watch?
The middle of August is considered to be a dead period for NBA basketball. No games. No draft. Little to no free agency movement. The NBA schedule has been released, giving every basketball fan jitters.
The Memphis Grizzlies seem to have a solid schedule. They have four different four-game homestands, including one to close out the season.
There are some instances where Memphis Grizzlies fans may be unhappy about the schedule. The Grizzlies will not play on MLK Day, causing uproar among the fans.
However, there was a statement released to explain the reasoning behind this shocker:
Even though there will be a “day of service,” not having a game where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated is definitely surprising.
Once again, the Memphis Grizzlies were not granted a Christmas game. This year, the Christmas matchups are Celtics-Knicks, a Finals rematch between the Warriors and Cavaliers, Bulls-Spurs, Timberwolves-Thunder and Clippers-Lakers.
Eight of the 10 teams on the schedule are justifiable, but the young Timberwolves and a post-Kobe Lakers are head-scratchers. Neither team has proven themselves to be a marquee team big enough to play on Christmas day.
As the schedule is finally released, there are plenty of games to circle on the calendar.
