Into the Bears’ Den: picking NBA teams’ over/under from Vegas projections
By Ian Pierno
SACRAMENTO KINGS: 32.5
Ian Pierno: UNDER. This is the only team in the NBA more dysfunctional than my beloved New York Knicks.
Ryan Snellings: UNDER. This team is just sad. Boogie is wasting valuable years and Rudy Gay already has informed the team he wants out. Expect a big falling out all around this organization this year.
Parker Fleming: UNDER. I’m going under, because I’ll say what they should do. They need to unload Demarcus Cousins somewhere they could get a high draft pick (Boston? Denver? Phoenix?). Find a suitor for Rudy Gay (*gulps* Clippers? Blazers?). Malachi Richardson and Skal Labissiere are nice pieces that could be major players going forward. Get those guys reps, nab a high draft pick or two (more importantly, a great point guard) and let Dave Joerger build a young squad into something that’s not laughable.
Taylor Buckley: UNDER. I don’t think anyone could really bet the over here. As dysfunctional as this team has been over the years, the safe bet is under. I think they end up trading Cousins and Gay to go into full tank mode.
Ryan Schmitz: UNDER. I’m never picking Kings over until some of their decisions start actually work. Plus, I don’t think Cousins will be a King for this whole year.
Jacob Collins: UNDER. Ha. Kings.
