Into the Bears’ Den: picking NBA teams’ over/under from Vegas projections
By Ian Pierno
DETROIT PISTONS: 45.5
Ryan Snellings: UNDER. I like Detroit and think Ish Smith was a great addition, but its thin at the power forward spot. The east is improving and I think that will make Detroit’s year slightly more difficult.
Taylor Buckley: OVER.
Ian Pierno: OVER. Reggie Jackson, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith are so much better than NBA fans think.
Parker Fleming: OVER. Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson are a dang good duo. Surrounding them with Marcus Morris, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Stanley Johnson and Ish Smith is a nice starting point. Caldwell-Pope and Johnson need to break out. They’ll be fine under the guidance of the supreme BOBAN MARJONOVIC (and Stan Van Gundy).
Ryan Schmitz: OVER. This team finished with 44 wins last year and added Leuer, Boban and Ish Smith (who I think is a highly underrated signing). I think with growth, they will contend for top four in the east and should be able to easily beat their previous total of 44 wins.
Jacob Collins: OVER. Stan VanGundy + pick and roll dive man/rim protector+ shooting and driving = pure happiness.
