PHILADELPHIA 76ERS: 27.5
Ian Pierno: UNDER. A 17-win improvement is pretty big. Ben Simmons isn’t going to be a superstar right away. If we don’t think Minnesota will win 10 more games this year than they did last year, there’s no way the 76ers make 17 happen. I do think they easily crack the 20-win mark, though.
Though, if they give the G.O.A.T., Cat Barber, significant minutes, a run to the playoffs isn’t out of question.
Taylor Buckley: OVER. While spacing will still be an issue, Ben Simmons is going to do wonders for this team. Not to mention the crazy amount of talent they have in their frontcourt. The 76ers are going to shock the NBA world this year.
Ryan Snellings: UNDER. This year will be the last considerably bad one for Philly. Fans of the city can rejoice in both Carson Wentz and Ben Simmons, who are part of the bright future for the Eagles and 76ers, respectively. Good times are ahead, but for this season, the 76ers will be learning. Watching Joel Embiid finally debut will be fun as well and hopefully we do see some potential of what’s to come.
Parker Fleming: UNDER. A 17-win improvement? Not buying that. I think a 15-win improvement would be huge. Dario Saric, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid will flash excellence, but they need shooting and a legitimate point guard (Dennis Smith, Jr.? Markelle Fultz?). Unloading Okafor and/or Noel will help this team’s present and future.
Ryan Schmitz: UNDER. I think this year they start to show progress, but they only had 10 wins a year ago and still have no starting caliber guards on the roster. It’s not good when your best distributor is your No. 1 overall pick, who is a forward.
Jacob Collins: UNDER. 17.5 would be a tough over for me to make.
