Into the Bears’ Den: picking NBA teams’ over/under from Vegas projections
By Ian Pierno
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS: 53.5
Ian Pierno: UNDER
Parker Fleming: OVER. The Clippers are a good regular season team. There are 82 games, and in about 60 of them, no defense is played. Therefore, they are able to go full “Lob City” mode. They may win 55-57 games, but ask me again in April if I think they’ll go to the Western Conference Finals.
Ryan Snellings: OVER. I think the Clippers have a good 55 wins in them and can really challenge the Spurs for the 2-seed. This team is possibly in championship or bust mode so expect a big bounce back year from Blake Griffin. They brought a lot of the gang back and added some depth with the signings of Mo Speights, Raymond Felton, Brandon Bass and the drafting of Brice Johnson. I think they’ll be pretty, pretty, pretty good.
Taylor Buckley: OVER. With the team in a do-or-die scenario, I think it shocks everyone and finish right behind the Warriors. Not to mention both Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have extra motivation due to being in contract years.
Ryan Schmitz: OVER. I’ve always thought the Clippers have been overrated, but I think this will be their year. CP3 is going to do some big things and Blake Griffin might even take the next step because if he doesn’t, I’m sure Doc Rivers will be getting some calls from his buddies in Boston.
Jacob Collins: OVER. WAY OVER. If the Clippers are healthy, they’re the second best team in the west and one of the best in the NBA. I think they can push 60.
