A New Hope on the Memphis Grizzlies

We’ll start with our Luke comparison. This summer, in Dallas, staring off into the distance, Chandler Parsons made a decision to come to Memphis. He had dreams to be part of a contender, but just kept being held back. After finally getting to Memphis, he joined a wise master and two underappreciated stars.

Chandler Parsons, like Luke Skywalker, doesn’t realize the greatness he could be destined for. See, nobody likes the Empire (you know who they are), but most of the galaxy (and the NBA, in this example) just assumes that it’s a forgone conclusion that they’ll continue to exist and dominate. However, once Luke finally gets off of Tatooine, he begins to see the bigger picture and what he is destined for.

Now that Chandler is out of Texas, he finally sees an opportunity to win the West. He could be the missing piece on the Grizzlies. The starting five needed a solid small forward to contend and he looks to fill that hole. He’s the hope that this team needed. However, only by coming together with his new companions, does he stand a chance of defeating the Empire.
