Player Grades: Memphis Grizzlies vs Philadelphia 76ers

F. The Grizzlies acquired Troy Daniels after he posted a 47.6 percent from beyond the arc season in Charlotte with the Hornets. There were collective shrugs from fans. His defense is not super impressive, and so people figured he would provide a person to kick to at the end of possessions on the bench. Everyone needs a backup shooting guard. However, in the preseason it has honestly been impressive how much Daniels has managed to disappoint those soft expectations. Over the last three games Daniels has shot a collective 2-for-11 from the field and committed seven fouls, with not a single assist or 3-pointer. We have a lot of young guys showing a lot of heart and determination this preseason, and watching Troy Daniels not even be the best Troy on the court is incredibly frustrating.. guard.
