After Sportando reported that Chandler Parsons would have to undergo another knee surgery, he denied the accusations like a complete savage.

Chandler Parsons hasn’t been able to get on the court recently due to knee problems. After his homecoming against Dallas, Parsons was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee, the one he didn’t have surgery on. As if Grizz Nation wasn’t already down about their barrage of injuries, Sportando dropped a bomb by reporting that Chandler Parsons would have knee surgery and would miss the rest of the season. This news caused Memphis Twitter to explode. If you missed the outrage, here’s a recap of all of it.

The facts

Luckily, Grind City Media’s Chris Vernon used logic regarding the story.

Grind City Media’s founder Mike Wallace talked with team sources and released this information:

Whew! Now, the Memphis Grizzlies and fans could breathe a sigh of relief. Their max-contract acquisition Chandler Parsons is, indeed, NOT having knee surgery. If the reports were true, the Grizzlies’ playoff hopes would’ve been thrown out the window.

Complete savagery

The media has spoken and denied the false reports. Now, the most  credible source of all has spoken. The man of the story himself, Chandler Parsons.

Cue the airhorns. Cue the “OH”s. Blast “Ultimate” by Denzel Curry. Parsons completely roasted this report. He has officially cemented himself as one of the greatest tweeters in Grizzlies franchise history.

The aftermath

After their reports were denied, Sportando, professionally, apologized to Chandler Parsons.

Unfortunately, the man who reported the news has stepped down from his position. Best of luck to the reporter. The Beale Street Bears team wishes the best to him, as he bounces back from this mishap.

(Editor’s Note: I don’t feel bad for the “reporter” at all)

Grizz Nation, there’s no need to worry about Chandler Parsons. Let’s hope he’s back on the court soon, healthy and ready to fire.
