The Grizzlies travel back to the Grindhouse Wednesday night, following an (honestly) boring win over the Brooklyn Nets. If their 112-103 victory shows nothing else, it’s that the Memphis offense is finally clicking – scoring more than 105 points in four of their last five games. The other? An 89-75 victory over San Antonio… can’t complain there.
Chandler Parsons minutes have seen an uptick. The $94 million-dollar forward played 25 minutes in his most recent appearances.
Mike Conley, Vince Carter and Troy Daniels are LOCKED IN from beyond the arc. Daniels sank four threes against the Phoenix Suns, Carter did the same against the Nets, and Conley – well, he’s just being Conley (32p, 6a vs. the Nets).
Keys to the game
- Avoid Buddy Hield at all costs. The rookie was ejected Sunday night for an irrational shot to the groin of Kings superstar, Demarcus Cousins. Demarcus is a pretty big dude, but the Grizz just got done fighting with the Suns.
- Shave the brow. Definitely not original. Definitely still a good idea. Without Anthony Davis, the Pelicans lose most of their offensive and defensive weapons. Shutting AD down (and avoiding a career-high from a role player) sounds like the formula for a W.
- Do something different than last time. Overtime games may be fun for the fans in attendance, but let’s avoid going into OT with a team in the lowest tier of the NBA, K? K.
