Best Game: 11/01/16 – Minnesota Timberwolves

I hate to remind Grizzlies fans of this 36-point whooping at the hands of the Timberwolves, but Davis (just barely) made the game worth watching. This is the only game in Davis’ young career in which he eclipsed the 15-minute mark, and he made good use of the time.

In 26 minutes of play, Davis scored 17 points, grabbed six rebounds, and added two blocks. Davis was only a -9 in a 36 point loss, which clearly shows the positive impact he had on the floor.

Davis bothered the Timberwolves’ young bigs on the defensive end and showed elite efficiency on the offensive end, missing only one shot.

Games like this show what Davis could eventually be for the Grizzlies: an elite rebounder, rim-runner and defender. The Grizzlies currently have a wealth of front-court talent. Hopefully Davis can force his way into Fizdale’s rotation sooner rather than later.
