Memphis Grizzlies (36-30 / 7th in Western Conference):

Lets be honest, coming in to this game against Milwaukee the Grizz do NOT look good. Losers of their last 5 and 7 of the last 9, Memphis is hoping to rebound against a Bucks team that is fighting for a playoff spot of their own. Early on in the season, the Grizzlies offense and defense were both operating like a well oiled machine. Big-Man extraordinaire, Marc Gasol, and Mike Conley, Crusher of opponents dreams, had been just dominant enough to make up for the rest of the teams shortcomings. 60+ games later and that is no longer enough. Zach Randolph has been his usual self, but with Chandler “Swag Factory” Parsons struggling to return from injury and Tony Allen losing a step on the defensive end this team does not look anywhere near as good as it did early on. With Coach Fizdale going with his fifth lineup in five games lets hope the fifth time is the charm. Either that, or just start giving the guys MJ’s Secret Stuff at halftime. Hey, it worked for the Toon Squad.

Milwaukee Bucks (32-33 / 8th in Eastern Conference):

The Milwaukee Giannis’s have had a fairly successful season. Despite losing young superstar Jabari Parker to injury earlier in the year, the Giannis’s seem to be in line for yet another playoff appearance.

Wait, i mean Bucks. Milwaukee Bucks.

The one thing the Bucks have going for them this year is literally the most athletic player in NBA history. Giannis Antetokounmpo aka The Greek Freak aka The Mediterranean Monster (You heard it here first, you’re welcome world) aka God’s gift to basketball.
If you don’t agree, fight me. I’m right. The man is a 6’11” POINT GUARD. And by man I mean 22 year old kid that makes my 28 year old self feel about 50.

Despite Giannis’ dominance though, Milwaukee just isn’t a very well put together team. They have some great key pieces though. Rookie Malcolm Brogdon, Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton have the ability to team up with Giannis and potentially be the best “Core Four” in the game. Only time will tell.

Prediction:

I honestly think Milwaukee takes this one. As much as I want to go with Memphis, they just haven’t shown me enough to prove that they remember what its like to play shut down defense. Let alone actually win a game.

Milwaukee scores 120

Marc once again forgets how to rebound and ends the game with 5.

Giannis plays out of his mind and flirts with a 5×5

Mike scores 20

Z-Bo dunks

Middleton hits six 3’s

Memphis fans once again complain about how damn good looking Parsons looks

I know the Grizz are favored in this one, but if you’re the kind of person that likes to wager on sports games, take Milwaukee to at least cover.
