The Memphis Grizzlies have had a troublesome month. Our writers reviewed the month of March and discussed the biggest stories for the Grizz in March.

The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t had an ideal month. They finished below .500. Their 94-million dollar man Chandler Parsons is done for the year. More importantly, they’re losing.

It’s not a good sign for the Grizzlies as the playoffs are quickly approaching. If they can’t find their rhythm, they might see another early exit this season.

In this week’s edition of “Into the Bears’ Den,” Parker Fleming (@PAKA_FLOCKA), Dee Davis (@dontsleepondee) and Jake Finnen (@HalfCourtJester) dove in and gave their takes on the Grizzlies’ biggest storylines in March.

Inconsistency

Parker Fleming

Lose five in a row, win four in a row, lose four in a row. Talk about inconsistent, right?

David Fizdale has preached on inconsistency all season long and hasn’t been afraid to point out their mediocrity as the calendar has flipped to 2017.

Could you blame him, though? At one point of the season, they were considered a possible top-4 seed that could realistically make the Conference Finals. The next moment, they look like a fringe playoff team. On other nights, the end of the “Grit ‘n’ Grind” era shows in absolutely every form.

This kind of inconsistency won’t fly in the playoffs. You lose four in a row, and your season is GONE. DONE. BYE-BYE.

Fizdale must find a consistent, successful rotation that could win them games in April (and possibly, May). That might mean cutting some minutes of key players … but I’ll save that for another time.

The Grizzlies haven’t sustained stretches of dominance that have been the trademark of this team during the “Grit ‘N’ Grind” era. Their defense hasn’t been on point either – which is suppose to be our calling card. This team has been on a rollercoaster lately, and if they don’t find traction soon, it’ll be an early playoff exit.

Jake Finnen: Sucking

It’s been hard to watch.

Tune in this weekend as we share our March MVP and expectations coming into April.
