In this week’s edition of “Into the Bear’s Den,” our writers share who they believe has been the most valuable player for the Grizzlies this month.
The Grizzlies haven’t seen consistent play all around. Their two beasts down low – Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph – haven’t been … well … beasts. The luster of Troy Daniels has faded away, as his 3-point shot hasn’t been on fire. James Ennis hasn’t stepped up to fill in for Chandler Parsons. Then, JaMychal Green and Tony Allen are still playing inconsistent basketball.
However, there have been two saving graces so far this month.
Mike Conley.
Vince Carter.
As we dive “Into the Bears’ Den,” Parker Fleming (@PAKA_FLOCKA), Dee Davis (@dontsleepondee) and Jake Finnen (@HalfCourtJester) gives their takes on who should be considered this month’s MVP.
Mike Conley

This shouldn’t be a question. Conley has averaged over 20 points a game this month and has been their only consistent contributor. In the process, he’s proving that he was snubbed off the All-Star team.
Some may believe that his back may break again from carrying the team so much.
Keep it up, Captain. It’ll all pay off when it matters.
Dee Davis
Without Money Mike, this season would be a whole lot worse. Mike has averaged a career for any month in his career during this March. If somebody else *cough* Marc Gasol *cough* stepped up, this team would be a whole lot better. But, Mike Conley is definitely doing his thing: being clutch.

Vince Carter has actually been one of the few players that has been decently consistent. His shot has been skeptical to say the least, but on a very turnover-prone team, it’s comforting when he has the ball in his hands. He still has that edge which leads to some hard fouls, but asking anything less is almost an insult. As THE veteran in the league, he can do what he wants. He hasn’t played superb basketball but neither have the rest of the Grizzlies. So out of the few that have done well, Vince Carter has made the biggest impact out of anyone.
