The Memphis Grizzlies fell on the short end of the stick last night vs the Spurs, but Coach Fizdale had a few words to say about the officiating.
Last night was a rollercoaster of emotions for Grizz fans. Oh, and you know Twitter was POPPING.
Grizz fans are some of the passionate fans you will ever meet in your lives. They may have the same passion of David Fizdale (inserts eye emoji).
Anytime the Memphis Grizzlies are having a bad game. Here’s what happens: Everyone decides to go in General Manager mode and decides to “BLOW UP THE TEAM.” Then they proceed by making claims such as: “WE SUCK!”
Although, at the end of the day it’s just out of love for the team. Well last night, Grizz fans went 0 to 100 real quick! (Shoutout Drake).
Anyways, at halftime, the Grizzlies were down 56-37. And it looked like just another replay of Game One all over again.
When the third quarter started boy was there a turn of events. The Grizzlies pulled a Grizzlies and cut a 26-point lead into a four-point lead.
Even though the Grizzlies lost, Memphis twitter was in full effect.
Let’s do a timeline of Grizzlies twitter.
*cracks knuckles*
No Better Than Last Year?
Last year's Spoon Griz had TA, JaMychal, Lance coming off the bench. This year's Spork Griz might not be that good.

This was one of the great quotes from last years’ team that dressed out 28 different players. At one point, it seemed that last years Grizz team could play better than the one this year.
Even my main man Fletch had no hope at one point.
(I’ve never met Fletch in my life, by the way).
Squad Going Up
Then Fizdale found a line-up that worked. The Conley-Ennis-VC-ZBO-Gasol lineup took off in the second half, and things started to look up from there.
This basically sums its up by the end of the third quarter:
By the fourth quarter, everyone that claims to be a Grizzlies fan was screaming at their TVs.
anyone else standing up screaming at their tv? could just be me

I mean … maybe …
nah, not just you https://t.co/wU6Xb2ILl3

The game itself was pretty deflating. The Memphis Grizzlies made a great run at the Spurs, but in the end they came up short.
But then something amazing happened, a miracle like no other. A Grizzlies coach called out the officiating on National TV!!!!!!!!!
Is this real life?
Here’s the video, which most of you have probably seen already:
(Also, I choose the video The Ringer used just cause they spiced it up a bit).

Reactions to Fizz
Well, every Grizzly fan agreed with Fizz more than likely.
Let’s dive into some of the reactions to David Fizdale’s postgame press conference.
DAVID FIZDALE FOR PRESIDENT

The colleagues at Beale Street Bears obviously agree with Fizz.
But in all honesty, #DavidFizdaleForPresident2020
If Fizz hadn't earned your respect before that press conference, he should have now. #TakeThatForData

Great point here. There’s not much to be said.
