No. 5: Los Angeles Clippers 115, Memphis Grizzlies 106 —- 01/04/2017

Normally, a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers isn’t a bad loss. While it’s a loss that stings more than others, they aren’t a bad team to lose to.

In this outing, it should be considered a “bad loss.” The Clippers were without Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, but it didn’t look like it.

Austin Rivers – yes that Austin Rivers – torched the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 28 points. He almost sliced the Grizzlies’ “grit ‘n’ grind” defense, getting to the goal and the free throw line at will.

In addition, DeAndre Jordan had one of those games where he actually resembled a dominant force that everyone makes him out to be. He collected 18 points and 20 rebounds.

The Memphis Grizzlies just couldn’t get anything going that night, losing a “gimme” game against a team that they were competing for a playoff spot with.
