No. 2: Memphis Grizzlies 128, Golden State Warriors – 119 – 1/06/17

This one ranks higher than the last win against the Warriors due to the circumstances the Grizzlies faced.

First of all, it’s not a cakewalk to go in Oracle Arena and win. Secondly, they were down by 24 points. Yes, 24 points down to THE Golden State Warriors on their home court.

Everything that could’ve gone wrong went wrong for the Grizzlies in the first 3 quarters. Does anything ever stop the Memphis Grizzlies from grinding?

Nah.

The squad came back in the fourth quarter and outscored the Warriors 32-13 in the fourth quarter behind the stellar work of Mike Conley, Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph. The trio combined for 79 of their 128 points.

This game was the embodiment of the “Grit N’ Grind” with a tad bit of David Fizdale’s new system.

This was one of those games were everyone in Memphis was standing up screaming to the world “GRIT ‘N” GRIND FOREVER!”
