Getting Smarter

No matter what, the Memphis Grizzlies have to get their pick back if they want to rebuild. However, if they choose to move away from Tony Allen, Marcus Smart would be a nice piece to have both in the present and going forward.

Even in his early years in the league, he’s proven to be one of the league’s stingiest defenders. His attitude on the court would bring a sense of grit and grind to the arena – something the fans would miss with Tony Allen’s departure.

The only difference between the two is offense. Right now, Smart is a better offensive player and has even more room to grow. Because of his skill-set, he can play alongside Mike Conley or man the point guard himself – a valuable skill if they elect to move the Conductor too.
