Conley, Marc, Randolph & Pau

Conley easily gets the nod here. He’s been the floor general every year for this seven-year playoff run. He’s set numerous franchise records, including the all-time scoring lead. Conley has also delivered countless memorable moments from clutch shots to inspiring play (see: the Masked game). When it’s all said and done, Conley may be the greatest Grizzly ever.

Marc Gasol might be the most skilled, accomplished player in franchise history. He’s a three-time All-Star and the only Grizzly to be voted a starter. He was named to the All-NBA 1st and 2nd team (2014-2015 and and 2012-2013). In addition, he’s won a Defensive Player of the Year award. His face will be on Mount Grizzmore for quite a while.

While Tony Allen made the slogan, Zach Randolph created the magical “Grit ‘n’ Grind” movement. He brought a winning culture to a franchise cured by losing. He flourished as the team’s All-Star and led the Grizzlies to their first playoffs series victory. As the first player to have his jersey in the rafters of FedEx Forum, Randolph will forever have his face on Mount Grizzmore.

This fourth one might be the toughest one. Tony Allen – the last piece of the Core Four – makes sense as he instilled and embodied the “Grit ‘n’ Grind” culture. Rudy Gay may be the most talented Grizzly player ever. However, I’ll give this spot to Pau Gasol. He was the Grizzlies’ first All-Star and gave the franchise their first taste of postseason basketball. Unfortunately, because of the trade to the Lakers, the city of Memphis was robbed of witnessing prime Pau in a Grizzly uniform. — Parker Fleming
