Yesterday, NBA 2K18 released more Grizz ratings. How do Marc Gasol and Wayne Selden rate in the new 2K game? Is it too high? Or too low?
With NBA 2K18 releasing soon on all gaming platforms, Grizz fans have been anxiously waiting to hear their hometown heroes’ ratings.
2K Sports just released Mike Conley’s 2K18 player rating, with him ranked at an 87 overall. Most (including Conley) expected his rating to be higher, especially considering the career year he had in the 2016-17 season and his stellar postseason. However, I believe Conley will use his rating as motivation to be an even bigger force on-court.
2K also released the ratings for Wayne Selden and Marc Gasol, ranked at 70 and 89 respectively.
It seems as though the game developers didn’t take Selden’s explosive performance during the summer league into consideration, with fans demanding his rating to be above a 75 (at the very least). However, with Selden’s athleticism off the bench, players will likely use him as the spark in late-game situations, or even for some impressive slam dunks.

Marc Gasol has the third highest player rating for centers, just below Karl-Anthony Towns and DeMarcus Cousins. |
Opposed to Mike’s lower-than-deserved rating, Marc’s status as a premier center in the league is slowly being solidified. After his development behind the 3-point line, Marc became a deadly force on both sides of the court, and hopefully his skills will be accurately depicted in 2K18.
