We’re entering a new wave of NBA basketball. There are so many enticing, young players. Who can come through and win this year’s Most Improved Player award?
Being completely real, out of all the awards in the NBA, the “Most Improved Player” may be my favorite.
It’s fun to watch!
In most cases, we see a prospect with “potential” somewhat realize it and blossom into a borderline star. Right now, there are many of the 2000’s stars that are on the back end of their career or out of the league as a whole.
Stars of the 2010’s are obviously dominating in their primes right now, but we’re getting a glimpse of how great next decade could be.
With Jokic, Embiid, Porzingis, Towns and Davis, the center position is back and finally relevant in the midst of “small ball” basketball. This year’s NBA draft just featured future star point guards in Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, De’Aaron Fo and Dennis Smith Jr. Players like Devin Booker and Andrew Wiggins look like the scoring champions of the future.
It’s an exciting time for sure, and this year could be a big season for future stars. Who will rise as a future star? Could a Memphis Grizzly win this award?
