Myles Turner

Turner flashed signs of greatness last year, as he began to play with smarts and purpose to match his elite combination of athleticism and skill range. It was impressive, albeit only enough for two third-place Most Improved Player votes.

As you may have heard, Paul George happened to leave town over the summer, definitively making Turner “The Man” on a transition-mode Pacers roster. Turner’s 31 minutes per game and 19.5 percent usage rate are sure to spike heavily. His stats will definitely follow if the development arc he’s shown holds form.

There will be endless opportunity for Turner to hit his high ceiling on this turd of a squad. Team success has never mattered much for the MIP; a “good stats/bad team” explosion could win. — AJ Salah (@Salas42_)
