Opening night is overall a fun experience. You get your first look at new players and schemes. After months of watching old highlights from Twitter, you finally get to see your favorite players in action. At this time, you either start asking questions about this team’s season or make hasty generalizations.
Whatever category you fall in, you can’t deny how the intrigue behind this opening night. It’ll be the return of former backup point guard Mario Chalmers. Long-time Tiger fans get a throwback by witnessing Tyreke Evans in a Grizzly uniform — something that should’ve happened at the start but you know that deal. We’ll see if Chandler Parsons off the bench is the right move. We also get to see what the Grizzlies look like with the dynamic duo of Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, instead of the “Core 4.”
