Memphis ranks third overall in bench scoring behind Sacramento and Brooklyn. Effectively, Memphis’ bench outscores that of any even remotely competitive team. Remember they’re also doing this at the league’s slowest pace.
Tyreke Evans has obviously been an optimal outcome. Reke’s having his best ever per-36 season, while setting a wayyy personal best 60.6 true shooting percentage. It’s early to be thinking awards, but 6MOY will be in Evans’ sights if this keeps up.
The secondary contributions have come from all around: signs of life from Parsons, crafty bucket-getting from Mario Chalmers and the sudden impact of Brooks. Memphis’ bench has six players averaging at least 5ppg, suggesting balance and sustainability.
