No. 4: Make Chandler Parsons the permanent starting SF

Parsons has proven to be an efficient contributor even in limited minutes. He’s shooting 51.5 percent from the field and 51.2 percent from deep. In addition, his player efficiency rating (PER) is at a career-best 16.5.

The starters are coming out slow, and the Grizzlies shouldn’t have their third and fourth best players off the bench. Therefore, it makes sense to insert Chandler Parsons into the starting lineup.

You could easily replace the heading with “Tyreke Evans,” but he’s better suited off the bench. He has thrived as the go-to scorer and playmaker in the second unit, and it should honestly stay that way. Parsons would benefit more from the starting lineup than the “Goon Squad.”

Marc Gasol and Mike Conley desperately need another playmaker and scorer in the starting lineup. Dillon Brooks has been solid, but he’s still a rookie. James Ennis is limited on the offensive end, as he can’t really create for himself or for others. JaMychal Green is also better suited as a beneficiary than a creator.

In the process, teams are just attacking Marc Gasol and Mike Conley. They need help.

Insert Chandler Parsons. Let him do what he was paid to do.
