Memphis Grizzlies: 4 players to watch in rematch with Portland
By Dennis Dow
No. 1 Damian Lillard
In their last contest in Portland, Lillard struggled mightily. He finished the game with 12 points, six assists, and five turnovers. He shot 4-of-16 from the field, including 0-of-5 from behind the 3-point line. Lillard isn’t one to have a game like that twice in a row.
I would look for Lillard to be aggressive considering that the Grizzlies will be without Mike Conley. In his last three games, Lillard is putting up 25 points per game and shooting 44 percent from deep.
The Grizzlies will have to defend Lillard by committee and try to force hi, into tough shots. If Lillard gets hot, it could be a long night for the Grizzlies.
His ability to shoot it from deep and create shots off the dribble make him a handful. For that reason, he’s one of the best scoring point guards in the NBA.
